You are responsible for your own safety. This is not a guided tour. You will need to be an active team member. You need to be proficient and competent in all aspects of canyoneering .

Christopher Creek is a beautiful slick-rock and very cold water canyon on the other side of Payson. It is suitable for those who are competent at rappelling, have basic canyoneering skills, are fit and agile. Longest rappel is about 50′ and there are 5 rappels.

Please bring all typical canyoneering gear, food and plenty of water. We will be wet all day. A WETSUIT is needed for comfort. The water is typically cold at the put in and warms slightly as we progress down canyon.

Helmet & Harness
Rappelling Device
4 Locking Carabiners
Safety Tether (PAS)
Pack to help carry gear and ropes
Snacks / Lunch / Water
Appropriate Clothing & Layers
Adequate footwear. No open toes.
