Adrenaline Canyoning trip, Nordegg, 12/6/21
Are you looking for something new and exciting? Then Canyoning in the Rockies is for you! This 5 to 6 hour trip is for those who have never been canyoning before or only a few times and are willing to live the full-on canyoning experience. You should be in good physical condition. No need for previous rope or swift water experience. You should be comfortable with heights, though we can have a few people in a group that are less at ease and want to challenge themselves. All rappels are mandatory once we are descending the canyon, though. There are multiple rappels and they can be up to 30 m in height. All jumps and slides can be avoided by rappelling them (if the canyon has these).
You should be able to swim and be prepared to be wet during the whole descent. What is an adventure? For me, adventure means escaping the crowds to explore places of beauty that are some of the last truly wild places on our planet: canyons. For millions of years, water has carved out rock creating natural playgrounds, swimming pools, and slides for us to adventure in. Imagine hiking into the wilderness, wading into crystal clear freshwater, shooting down soft rock slides, jumping into natural pools, and rappelling down majestic waterfalls. Best of all, you will see some of the most incredible places that only a few other people see while having the most fun of your life.
Come explore the hidden pockets of fresh falling water among the hills near Nordegg, AB in the Canadian Rockies. I guarantee that you will get a healthy dose of adventure and will make memories that will last a lifetime. I guide a multitude of canyons that allow operating during most of the season. I usually plan the trip the day before the tour and decide on the best canyon for you. I consider your skills, expectations, current canyon conditions, and the weather forecast. If you have a specific canyon in mind, please let me know and I will try to accommodate you.
